Uncle Sam Decoration
What You’ll Need:
- glue
- striped fabric
- half a paper towel roll
- scissors
- felt
- ribbon bow tie
- stickers
- bath tissue rolls
- cotton
- paper for decorations
- small American flag
- poster board
- chenille stick
- tinsel
How to Make It:

To make the body, glue striped fabric around the bottom half of a roll of paper towels. Cut a coat from felt, and glue it around the top half. Add a ribbon bow tie and three stickers as buttons.

To make the head, glue a roll of bath tissue on top of the body. Glue felt around it, and add cotton and cut-paper features.

Cut feet from paper and hands from felt. Glue them on. Put a small American flag under one of the hands. Stick the end of it under the striped fabric.

To make the brim of the hat, cut a large circle from poster board. Glue it on top of the head. Glue a roll of bath tissue onto the brim. Cut a circle from white paper, and glue it on top of the hat. Add stickers and a band of felt to decorate the hat.

Make a sparkler by bending the end of a chenille stick around a piece of tinsel. Glue a few sparklers into the hatband.
